What does Takeoff Product Bundles do?
It turns a set of products into one bundle product with one price. The bundle is a real Shopify product: it has its own page, options for the sizes your customers choose, and a description with a “What's in the bundle” table. When a customer buys it, Shopify expands it into the actual components at checkout, so inventory, fulfilment and reports show the real items.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
No. The app uses Shopify's native bundle features (bundle relationships and a Cart Transform function), which are available on every plan.
How is this different from discount-based bundle apps?
Discount apps add the components to the cart one by one and apply a discount, so the cart shows several lines and the “bundle” is only a price rule. Here the customer sees and buys one product; the components appear in the order, and stock is reserved per component. Nothing is faked with discounts.
Can customers choose sizes or colours inside a bundle?
Yes. For up to three products in a bundle you can let the customer choose the variant. Each combination becomes a variant of the bundle product, up to 100 combinations per bundle. The other products are fixed to the variant you pick.
How is the bundle price applied?
You set one price for the bundle. The app distributes it across the components in proportion to their list prices, so each component line in the order has a sensible price; discounts, taxes and refunds work per item.
What happens when a component is out of stock?
The bundle shows as sold out, because Shopify knows it needs that component. When stock returns, the bundle is available again. No oversells. If your stock lives in an ERP or warehouse system, we can keep it in sync with Shopify.
Can I edit the bundle product in Shopify directly?
Yes. If you change a variant's price or rewrite the description in Shopify admin, the app keeps your edits. It only pushes a field when you change it in the app.
How many products can a bundle contain?
Between 2 and 30 products, each with its own quantity. Gift cards cannot be bundled.
Does it work with my theme?
Yes. The bundle is a standard product with standard options, so your product template, variant picker and cart work as they do for any other product. An optional theme block with product cards and size pills is available for stores that want a richer bundle page; for a fully custom bundle page, talk to our theme development team.
Can I add my own description and image?
Yes. Write your own description (the component table is appended automatically, or turned off) and upload a bundle image. Without an image, the components' images are used.
How much does it cost?
$45 per month, billed through Shopify on your regular Shopify invoice, with a 14-day free trial. Unlimited bundles.
What happens if I uninstall?
The app's data for your store is deleted. Bundle products already created stay in your catalogue as normal products; you can delete them in Shopify admin if you no longer need them. Details are in the privacy policy.
