Payments
Card details go straight to the payment provider’s hosted page and never touch your server. Every payment is checked with the provider on the server before a booking is confirmed, with a webhook fallback for the customer who closes their browser at exactly the wrong moment. Deposits, balances, discount codes, vouchers and recurring memberships all run through the same flow.

Booking system FAQ
Off-the-shelf tools are fine until your business stops fitting the template: group rates with a per-head charge above a threshold, waivers per activity, sessions that need holding while someone pays, an operational system the bookings have to reach. A custom booking system is built around how you actually sell, runs on your own domain and brand, and you own the customer data instead of renting access to it.
We have live booking systems taking payments through Stripe, SumUp, Windcave and PayPal. Apple Pay, Google Pay and other gateways such as Square, Adyen, Worldpay or Opayo can be added on request. Every payment is confirmed on the server with the provider before a booking is marked as paid.
Yes, in two ways. We can run the booking system on its own subdomain, as we did with booking.landandwave.co.uk, linked from the Book Now buttons on your existing WordPress or Shopify site. Or we can replace the whole website and the booking engine together, as we did for Skating in the Square.
Not if the migration is planned. We map every old URL to its new home with 301 redirects, publish a fresh XML sitemap and keep page titles and content aligned, so the links and rankings you have built up point straight at the new site.
Usually, yes. For Land & Wave every booking and completed form syncs automatically to Activity Cloud, the system the team runs each day on. If your operational, accounting, CRM or email marketing software has an API, we can connect bookings to it so nobody re-keys anything.
Capacity is reduced inside a database transaction, so two customers can never take the last place at the same moment. Places are held while a customer pays and released automatically if they abandon the basket, so a session never looks sold out when it is not.
It depends on the scope: a single venue selling timed sessions is a very different project from sixty activities with their own pricing rules and paperwork. After a discovery call we give you a fixed scope and timeline. For seasonal businesses we plan the launch back from your opening date, with time for testing on a staging copy first.

The admin is built so your team can manage sessions, prices, discount codes and bookings day to day without a developer.
