Takeoff Product Bundles Privacy Policy

Takeoff Product Bundles (“the App”) is a Shopify app operated by Takeoff Digital Ltd (“we”, “us”). It lets merchants sell bundles of their existing products as a single product at a bundle price. This policy explains what data the App processes when a merchant installs it and when their customers use it.

Data we collect from merchants

  • Store identity: your myshopify.com domain and an API access token, so the App can act on your store.
  • Bundle configuration: the bundles you create (titles, prices, component products and quantities). We also create and manage one product per bundle in your catalogue and a Cart Transform on your store.
  • Catalog data: product and variant titles, prices and images, read to build bundles.

Data we collect from your customers

None. The App does not receive order, cart or customer data. Bundle expansion in the cart runs inside Shopify (a Shopify Function) and no cart data is sent to our servers.

How we use data

Solely to provide the App: create and keep your bundle products in sync. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties other than Shopify and our hosting provider.

Where data is stored

The App runs on Fly.io in the London (lhr) region. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on the hosting volume.

Retention and deletion

  • When you uninstall the App, all of your store's data in the App is deleted immediately (bundle configuration, settings, access tokens).
  • We honour Shopify's shop/redact, customers/redact and customers/data_request webhooks. As we hold no customer data, customer requests have nothing to return or delete; shop redaction removes everything for the store.
  • Bundle parent products remain in your catalogue after uninstall because apps cannot modify a store once uninstalled; delete them manually if you no longer need them.

Your rights

Merchants and their customers may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold by emailing studio@takeoffdigital.co.uk. We respond within 30 days.
