The Challenge

SEEN Dental Boutique is a new private dental practice in Kensington, London, created by Dr Sara Hassen (DDM, GDC no. 222199). After an intensive year-long diploma in restorative and aesthetic dentistry under the mentorship of one of the UK’s Top 50 dentists, Dr Sara set out to offer a more personal kind of dentistry: conservative, natural-looking results, time to listen, and no pressure. Her signature approach is Align, Bleach & Bond — Invisalign, whitening and composite bonding planned together so that a patient’s own teeth become the foundation of their new smile, rather than reaching straight for veneers.

The practice had the clinical philosophy, the training and a growing portfolio of real cases. What it did not have was a website — or any digital presence beyond an Instagram account.

Kensington and Chelsea is one of the most crowded private dental markets in the country. A prospective patient searching for “dentist Kensington”, “Invisalign Kensington” or “veneers Kensington” is met by long-established practices with large marketing budgets and years of accumulated authority. A brand-new boutique practice with a single dentist cannot outspend them. It has to out-think them: look more considered, explain itself more honestly, and make the first step easier than anyone else does.

The brief had four parts:

  • Feel like a boutique, not a clinic. The design had to carry the calm, premium, personal tone of the practice from the first pixel — the sort of site a Kensington patient expects from a boutique brand, not a template dental site with stock smiles.
  • Lower the barrier to a first conversation. Dr Sara offers a free virtual consultation: send a photo, get honest advice within a working day, no obligation. The whole site had to funnel towards it.
  • Be transparent. Guide prices for every treatment, real before-and-after cases, and plain answers to the questions patients actually ask about Invisalign, veneers and bonding.
  • Be found in Kensington. From day one, the technical and content foundations had to target the local searches that fill a new diary — without the keyword stuffing that makes a premium brand feel cheap.

Our Approach

We treated this as a brand launch and a patient-acquisition build in one, applying the same approach we use across our dental practice marketing work.

A boutique identity, built from the logo outwards. SEEN’s mark — a deep navy serif wordmark with a champagne-gold constellation — set the direction for the whole site. We built the palette around it: deep navy and ink for headers and the hero, warm ivory for content sections, champagne gold for accents, hairlines and calls-to-action. Headlines are set in Cormorant Garamond, an editorial serif that reads like a fashion title rather than a medical brochure, with Montserrat for body copy and interface. The result looks and feels like the practice: considered, quiet and expensive without being cold.

Performance-first Next.js build. The site runs on Next.js with the App Router, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. Pages are statically generated and served from the edge, fonts are self-hosted and preloaded to avoid layout shift, and images are optimised and lazy-loaded. A new practice has no ranking history to lean on, so Core Web Vitals had to be a strength from launch, not something to fix later.

The free virtual consultation as the spine of the site. Rather than a generic contact form buried on one page, the free virtual consultation request sits in the hero of every key page — home, treatments, Invisalign, veneers, Align Bleach & Bond, prices and before-and-after — with a short, low-friction form: name, email, phone, and what they are interested in. Three reassurances sit beneath it: free, no obligation, reply within one day. On the contact page the form expands to let patients choose between a virtual review and an in-practice appointment, with a four-step explanation of exactly what happens after they press send. On mobile, a persistent tap-to-call bubble keeps the practice one thumb away on every screen.

Treatment pages written to answer, not to sell. Each signature treatment — Invisalign, veneers and Align, Bleach & Bond — has its own page with a plain-English explanation, the guide price, relevant before-and-after cases and a long, honest FAQ: around fifty patient questions answered across the three pages, from “Do veneers require shaving down my teeth?” to “Can Invisalign close gaps between my teeth?”. The treatments hub groups everything else — general, cosmetic, orthodontic, restorative and children’s dentistry — with a “from” price against every item, and a dedicated prices page lays out the full fee guide in one place. Nothing is hidden behind “contact us for a quote”.

Real cases, shown properly. The before-and-after gallery presents 18 of Dr Sara’s own cases — whitening and edge bonding, composite bonding, Align Bleach & Bond, restorative work and root canal radiographs — as paired before-and-after images, each captioned with the treatment used and a note that every photograph is of her own patient, shared with consent. A curated selection is pulled through onto the home page and the relevant treatment pages, so the proof sits next to the claim.

Local SEO engineered in, not bolted on. Every page has a unique, locally targeted title and description in a consistent format — “Dentist Kensington, London”, “Invisalign Kensington, London”, “Veneers Kensington, London”. The home page carries a dedicated “Your private dentist in Kensington” section naming the neighbourhoods patients travel from: South Kensington, Knightsbridge, Notting Hill, Holland Park, Earl’s Court, Fulham and Hammersmith. Structured data uses the Dentist schema with the practice’s founder, GDC registration, geo-coordinates, service areas and every treatment listed as a MedicalProcedure, so search engines and AI assistants can read exactly what the practice is and where it works. Canonical URLs, a clean sitemap and Open Graph images complete the technical foundation.

Navigation that teaches as it guides. A mega-menu groups treatments into Signature, Cosmetic and General & Restorative, each with a one-line description, so a visitor who does not yet know the difference between bonding and veneers can orient themselves in a glance. A “Looking for a price?” link in the menu takes them straight to the fee guide.

The Result

18real before-and-after cases from Dr Sara’s own patients, published with consent — the site’s strongest trust signal

SEEN Dental Boutique launched in October 2026 with a website that does what the practice itself promises: it feels personal, it explains itself honestly, and it makes the first step easy.

Project mobile mockup

For the patient, the path from a late-night search to a free virtual consultation request takes under a minute on a phone. Every treatment has a price, every claim has a real case beside it, and every question they were going to ask has already been answered.

For the practice, Dr Sara has a shop window that matches the standard of her dentistry from day one, with enquiries landing directly in her inbox and a clear, repeatable funnel she can point every Instagram follower and word-of-mouth referral towards.

For search, the site goes live with the technical and content foundations that a new local business normally spends its first year catching up on: locally targeted metadata on every page, Dentist and MedicalProcedure structured data, fast Core Web Vitals and content written around genuine Kensington patient intent. As the practice builds reviews and authority, those foundations compound.

The site is new, so the ranking story is still being written — we will update this case study as the Kensington search positions come in. In the meantime, if you are opening or relaunching a dental practice and want a website built around patient acquisition rather than a brochure, our dental practice SEO & PPC team would be glad to talk.
