The Challenge
Trimbio required a robust, reliable and secure website to handle their volume of sales and integration with their business system. Taking over support from their incumbent development agency, we were required to replace, improve and optimise existing functionality, and custom third party and inhouse modules.Our Approach
We provided a dedicated project and support service team to Trimbio, working closely with their ecommerce manager to help us understand their procedures and workflow. Weekly meetings with the client and communication via our issue management tool, meant we were able to effectively manage the priorities, meet expectations and ensure we were working towards the required goals.The Result

Server Migration
To deliver a strong foundation to support the Trimbio website we needed to migrate to a new server which was configured by our team to use the latest in caching and database technology such as Varnish Cache, Elastic Search and more. Within the new server we have adjusted the schedules for the crontab to run certain magento indexers at certain times in the day to save resources and also provide a faster website for the front-end user.Custom Product Pages
Due to the nature of the products we had to create custom product pages so we could add different tabs such as videos, technical specification sheets, downloads and more.Affiliates
We have created a feature where Trimbio customers can send invitations to their friends via email straight from their magento dashboard. This can be further configured to different campaigns and discount levels. Affiliates can invite new users via email or direct link share.Custom Shipping
Their product catalogue contains refurbished items which could be highly expensive and fragile medical equipment or furniture (couches for massage therapists or osteopaths) which is delivered by a Trimbio van so the costs can vary depending on the item and the delivery location by county or postcode areas. We have managed this by extending the magento shipping and creating a custom configuration and cost calculation depending on a percentage of cart subtotal, product price and destination.Custom One Page Checkout
To create a nicer user experience for the clients we have changed the checkout to one page checkout, creating a custom design with custom features for payments, delivery address and basket editing.WordPress Integration
